Little Falls

50199792Mini monolith before me

By my nature i’m swept

slowly up upon the cold

rough thigh of this land

Half way to top out

I perch calmly upon the

crack of the wall, untethered

and ungrounded.

A warm feeling of fullness

fills my belly and tickles my brain,

a brief disconnection

from the famaliar land below

and the invisible land above.

Like when I was a little kid,

hiding under desks and in

the dark centers of

clothes racks in the mall,

seperated from the world

and all the things in it by

a thick fluffy curtain of cotton.

What has become of my fort?
